Our Final Days!

 Kindergarten beach days, field day, T-Shirt signing, room cleaning, and saying goodbye! Thank you all for a wonderful kindergarten school year, and end of year gifts, and most of all for sharing your child as they have grown sooooo much this school year.

Upcoming Events!

*Friday, June 9th Field Trip to George Woodard's Dairy​ ​Farm and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory!
We are going rain or shine. Hiking shoes, mud boots, sneakers would be best. Remember to send a packed lunch, unless you have already sent in a school lunch order. 

*Monday, June 12th ​Kindergarten B​each Day​ at TBPS playground. Monday will be hot and sunny.
Brad Gresham, head of maintenance at TBPS, has helped us year after year by setting up water stations on the lower playground. Thank you so much Mr. Gresham!

*Wednesday, June 14th  Kinder field Days at Dascome Row Park. We are ​hoping to have many parents​, siblings welcome at your discretion, join us for our ​Kindergarten Field Days​. There will be many different centers/activities set up around the field. 

*Friday, June 16th  Last Day of 2016-2017 School for TBPS.,12:15 dismissal! 

Shelburne Farms Field Trip

We had a wonderful day at Shelburne Farms! The weather held out as it just began to drizzle as we boarded the school bus back home. We enjoyed a picnic lunch atop a hill with panoramic views. We spent the rest of our time in the children's farmyard with chickens, goats, bunnies, sheep, cows, pigs, donkeys, and a horse.

Project Lead the Way

We teamed up with Mr. Emrich's class for the third module in our Science and Engineering curriculum called The Human Body. We investigated some of the major structures inside the human body and identified body parts that perform different functions.We focused on the structure and function of six different body parts; stomach, lungs, muscles, brain, bones and heart. Our 2 week study culminated in designing and engineering a cast for a broken wrist. Students drew their design and partnered up to create their cast, our criteria for cast making were; strong, light, comfortable and water resistant.

- May 17th 6:00 pm Kindergarten Concert in the Gym! Students report to classroom at 5:45.  

-Thur, 25th Shelburne Farms Field Trip (more info, permission slip soon)

June       

-Mon, 12th Beach Day TBPS playground 9:00-10:30 am

(Yes, send bathing suits, towel, sun hat, water shoes/sneakers and extra clothes.)

- Wed 14th Kindergarten Field Days at Dascome Row Park, Waterbury 9:00am-1:00pm (Parents, younger siblings are encouraged to join our fun.)

-Thur 15th 4th Grade's Celebration of Learning 8:00am TBPS Gymnasium

-Thur 15th Kindergarten Step-Up Day 1:30 (K-Kids meet their 1st Grade Teacher and classmates)

- Fri 16th Last day of School 11:30 dismissal
